about
In 2009 she began her journey. After studying closely with her first teacher from India in Raja Yoga for one year, she went on to complete 700 hours of yoga teacher training in Canada, and the US ( hatha, kripalu and kundalini yoga). From there attended a Vipassana meditation retreat, and completed her first Thai Massage Foundations Course. For the past decade she has shared her love for yoga and thai massage, across Canada, Mexico and Thailand, to young and old alike, classes, retreats and through private sessions.
Desiring, in her heart to go deeper into the practice of Thai Massage, she attended the Professional Training Intensive at the Thai Massage School of Chiangmai, in early 2015. Her love for the practice, began to unfold and she began to divide her time between Hornby Island where she offered private sessions seasonally and study in Thailand. Returning, for months at a time to simply immerse herself in study and practice through the Northern Style Thai Massage studying with Pichest Boonthumme, and closely with female teachers who learned directly from Ashokanada and Lek Chaiya in both America and Thailand. Today she is recognized as an instructor with the Thai Healing Alliance. Tara lives on Vancouver Island with her family and is grateful for all her clients and students in which she learns from through every class and every session. she is currently undergoing and intensive Ayurveda internship with the California College of Ayurveda. She loves seeing the eyes of those who have just received a session light up. For her this work is a life path that helps her to return again and again to her center, and in a way that can serve others. She inspires to each day to share from that place, and always intends to offer treatments that directly addresses the needs of each of client.
